Privacy policy.
This page explains what happens to personal data on this site: what you send through the contact form, and the traffic measurement that runs in the background. There is no advertising, no profiling and no third-party tracking script.

Who is responsible
This site is published by Emmanuel Gillet, based in Sydney, Australia. For anything concerning this policy, or the data you have sent, write through the contact form.
What is collected
Two things, and nothing else.
What you type in the contact form: your name, your email address, your message, and the date it was sent.
Traffic measurement: pages viewed, the site you arrived from, approximate location, browser and device type, and the IP address of your connection.
The site loads no advertising script, no profiling tool, and no fonts or scripts from Google. Comments are closed.
The contact form
Your message is delivered to my mailbox by email. It is not stored in the site database, and no copy is kept on the server.
The consent box you tick is the legal basis for this processing (article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by asking me to delete our exchange.
Measurement and cookies
Visits are counted with Jetpack Stats, a service of Automattic, which also hosts this site. It records page views and technical data, including the IP address of your connection. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing whether what I publish is read (article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
No advertising or profiling cookie is set. The accessibility widget stores your display preferences in your own browser, not on the server.
Who else handles the data
The site is hosted by Automattic (WordPress.com), acting as a processor for hosting, image delivery and traffic statistics. Once your message reaches my mailbox, it is held by my email provider.
Data may therefore be processed on servers outside the European Union and Australia, in particular in the United States, under the contractual safeguards those providers put in place.
How long it is kept
Messages and the details they contain stay in my mailbox as long as the exchange requires, and in any event no longer than three years after our last contact. Traffic statistics are aggregated and retained by Jetpack.
Your rights
You may ask for access to the data concerning you, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of its processing, or object to it; and you may ask for it in a portable form. The contact form is the way to do so.
If you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the CNIL in France, the competent authority in your own country of residence within the European Union, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Any change is published on this page, with the date above updated accordingly.
